These hardy teak wood utensils come from various sources including remnants from the logging industry, recycled furniture, and sustainably harvested trees. We sourced these from a small independently run family business in the sparsely populated Loei province in northeast Thailand, where artisans learn skilled crafts through a program subsidized by the Royal family in an effort to create and promote community development and a sustainable livelihood through heritage handicrafts. Modeled after a traditional rice paddle, this serving spoon is the perfect size and shape for all sorts of grains dishes.
