This handmade baker's brush is made of birch and horse hair. It can be used to spread flour evenly over a baking board, remove excess flour from bread, and to clean work surfaces. Since horsehair is heat resistant, it can even be used in the oven.
Iris Hanverk started out as small brush manufacturing workshop in Stockholm in the late 1900s century. It proved to be such a successful movement that it remains today. Now, as then, every brush is made by hand by visually impaired craftsmen, bringing new dimensions to the concept of sensitively made by hand.

CARE & USE
Cared for properly, these brushes will age beautifully. Clean with soap and warm water. Hang them or stand them on the bristles to dry to keep the wood from splitting. Every so often (depending on frequency of use), wipe down the wood with a fortified food grade mineral oil.
